Refund & Cancellation Policy

A plan never renews on its own, so there is nothing to cancel. If OmnyScholar took your money and did not work, you get it back.

Plans do not renew

A plan is paid for once, for 30 days (or 365 days on the yearly price). It does not renew on its own and nothing is ever charged again unless you choose to pay, so there is nothing to cancel. We email you 3 days before it ends; renew from Settings → Plan if you want to keep it, and the new time is added to what you have left.

When a plan ends, nothing is deleted: your material, notes and drafts stay, and drop back to what the Free plan includes.

When you get money back

Something was charged twice

Refunded in full, always. Tell us and we will not argue about it, we can see the order record, so we can check it ourselves.

You paid and it did not work

If a fault on our side stopped you using what you paid for, and we could not fix it in reasonable time, we refund the plan. “Our side” includes the service being down and features not working as described on this site.

You changed your mind, early

Within 7 days of your first ever paid plan, if you have not yet had the service produce substantial work for you, no drafted assignment, no humanised text, we refund it in full. Ask, and we will check the usage record and process it.

The test is what you got, not what you clicked. Uploading files, asking Scholar questions, planning an assignment or marking a draft does not use up this window. Having an assignment drafted does.

When you do not

  • Part of a plan. Stop using it on day 20 and the rest is not refunded pro-rata; the plan stays yours until its end date instead.
  • The mark you received. OmnyScholar helps you do the work; it does not write your assignment and it cannot promise a grade. A disappointing mark is not a refund.
  • An academic-integrity outcome. You submit the work and you are responsible for it, as the Terms set out.
  • A third party being down, where we kept the service running and told you plainly at the time.

How to ask

Email contact@omnyscholar.lk from the address on your account, and say what happened. You do not need to fill in a form or explain yourself at length.

  • We reply within 3 working days.
  • An approved refund is submitted within 7 working days.
  • It reaches your card or account on your bank’s schedule after that, usually 5 to 14 working days, and not something we control.

Refunds go back to the card or account that paid, through PayHere. We cannot send one anywhere else.

If we get it wrong

If you think a decision here was unfair, say so in reply to the same email and a person will look at it again. We would rather refund a borderline case than argue with a student about LKR 990.
