Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account you agree to what is on this page. If you do not, do not use OmnyScholar. You must be a registered student at a recognised institution and old enough to enter a contract where you live.

What OmnyScholar is

A study tool. You upload your own course material; it indexes it so you can ask questions and get answers that cite the page they came from. It decodes assignment briefs, explains marking criteria, plans structure and word budgets, finds published sources, marks a draft against its own rubric, and turns notes you wrote into academic prose.

What it will not do

It will not write an assignment out of nothing. This is enforced in the software, not merely promised here. Before any drafting happens, the system checks that there is enough of your own substance to draft from, your typed notes, your evidence, your findings. If there is not, it refuses and tells you what is missing.

It also will not:

• invent a fact, a statistic or a source and attribute it to your module;
• help you disguise AI-written work as your own;
• advise you on evading AI detection;
• ignore a brief that forbids AI use, it reads the brief’s own AI clause and follows it.

Academic integrity is yours

Your institution’s rules govern your work, not ours. Before you use any tool on an assignment, check what your brief and your institution allow, they differ, and they change. OmnyScholar surfaces a brief’s AI clause when it finds one, but it cannot know a rule your lecturer stated in a lecture.

You submit the work, so you are responsible for it. You should be able to explain and defend every part of what you hand in, which is why the product is built to make you do the thinking rather than to skip it. We are not responsible for the outcome of any submission, any mark, or any misconduct finding.

Your material

You keep every right you had in what you upload. You give us permission to store and process it only so far as running the product requires, indexing it, searching it, and answering your questions from it.

Only upload material you are allowed to upload. Lecture slides given to you for study are normally fine; a textbook you do not have the right to copy is not. If a rights holder asks us to remove something, we will.

Plans and payment

• Free, your module library, grounded question and answer, study notes and practice cards. LKR 0.
• Coach, adds brief decoding, criteria explained, outlines and word budgets, published sources, rubric marking, viva preparation, decks and talks, and the assignment agent guided turn by turn. LKR 990 a month.
• Writer, adds drafting from your notes, the humanizer, and the agent running unattended. LKR 2,500 a month.
• An assignment, bought one at a time, with or without a plan. LKR 1.5 a word of the length your brief asks for (1,500 words when the brief states none, and never fewer than 500). You see the price before you pay.

A plan is paid for once and lasts 30 days (or 365 days on the yearly price). It does not renew on its own: to keep it, pay again, and we email you 3 days before it ends. Paying again for the plan you have adds the new time to what is left; moving up to a bigger plan starts it at once, for its full time, and days left on the smaller one are not carried over. Prices are in Sri Lankan rupees and payment is handled by PayHere; we never see your card details. Plans carry monthly allowances, shown in Settings, and we will tell you when you are near one rather than silently cutting you off.

Delivery. Everything is delivered online, in your account; there is nothing to ship. A plan is active as soon as the payment goes through. A paid assignment starts at once, and you follow it in the app until it is done.

Your account

One account, one person. Keep your password to yourself, work done through your account is treated as yours. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got in.

Do not attempt to bypass the plan limits or the integrity gate, resell access, scrape the service, or use it to produce work for someone else to submit. We may suspend an account that does.

Availability

We work to keep OmnyScholar up, and we do not promise it always will be. It depends on third-party AI providers that occasionally run out of capacity; when that happens we say so plainly rather than failing silently. Do not leave an assignment to the last hour and rely on us being available, that is a risk you would not take with any tool.

Liability

OmnyScholar is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for marks received, deadlines missed, academic penalties, or loss of data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the problem.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like, from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and where it is our decision rather than an emergency we will explain why.

Changes and law

If these terms change materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. They are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
